Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for assigning submitted manuscripts to the Managing Editor for further processing. The Managing Editor has the authority to directly accept, reject, or send the manuscript for peer review, in accordance with the standards set by Constitutional Review. Prior to any further processing, all manuscripts undergo a plagiarism check using Turnitin to ensure originality.
Following the initial screening, the Managing Editor assigns at least two subject-matter experts to review the manuscript. All submissions are subject to a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both the reviewers' and authors' identities remain confidential throughout the evaluation to uphold academic integrity and impartiality.
The review process evaluates manuscripts based on their originality, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the field. Based on the reviewers’ feedback, a decision will be made on whether the manuscript is accepted, requires revisions, or is rejected.
The possible editorial decisions include:
- Accepted: The manuscript is approved for publication without modifications.
- Accepted with Minor Revisions: The manuscript is accepted for publication, provided the author makes minor corrections within a specified timeframe.
- Accepted with Major Revisions: The manuscript will be published once the author implements substantial revisions suggested by the reviewers and/or editors within a given timeframe.
- Resubmit (Conditional Rejection): The manuscript requires significant revisions before it can be reconsidered for another round of review.
- Rejected (Outright Rejection): The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards and will not be considered for publication, even if revised.
Publication Frequency
The Constitutional Review journal is published biannually, in May and December.
